Galloway Forest

 

MBLA prepared proposals for a new car park at the new Osprey Viewing Centre at the Roundhouse located on Loch Doon in the Galloway Forest

The design proposals sensitively respond to the rural setting, maintain views across the loch and connect with existing walks.  Dry stone walls and bunds were introduced to contain the car park. The access road and parking bays are surfaced in plastic cells infilled with locally sourced aggregated or grass seeded to provide a sensitive and permeable solution. Natural stone surfacing connects the existing Roundhouse and proposed Osprey Viewing Centre buildings
